Flock Browser 1.2: Eco-Edition
Visit: http://browser.flock.com/eco/
Flock Browser is an exciting web browser that offers some great features that you can't find in Internet Explorer or Firefox. And best of all with the eco-edition you're automatically set up to receive all sorts of environmental headlines at the click of a button.
The main difference between Flock and most other browsers is the level of integration it offers with social networking sites such as Facebook, Flickr and Digg, media sharing sites like YouTube and Photobucket, blogging sites like Blogger or Wordpress and many others. You can manage the accounts and services related to many of these sites at the click of the button - specifying whether or not you want the browser to remember your details. Once you've logged in to a site once you can also keep open the 'friends' side bar, which shows you details of all your friends along with their latest profile updates, photos they've uploaded and allow you to message them no matter what site you're on.
Then there are the special features that come with the eco-edition. Clicking on the 'my world' button will bring up all the latest feeds from green sites such as TreeHugger, Yahoo! Green, ecorazzi and many more, as well as eco-related media from flickr, photobucket and youtube.
Even better, flock have pledged that 10% of the profit made from searches using their search bar will be donated to environmental charities, to be decided by a vote at the end of the year. So you can be helping the environment even while browsing.
In summary it's a nice looking browser with some great features that can help both you and the environment. So if you're fed up with your current browser, or just fancy trying something different for a change, check it out at http://browser.flock.com/eco/
