Who is environmentweb?
environmentweb is created and maintained by me, Andrew, a postgraduate student in environmental informatics. I was inspired to create the site by a growing awareness of the amount of information around on environmental issues that people simply weren't aware of. I'm hoping that the current state of environmentweb will be just the beginning and that eventually it will grow to become an invaluable resource for anyone interested in any kind of environmental issue, whether it's global or specific to their area.
The reason I started with the eco-consumer side of things is that considering the environment more in the things we buy and use every day is a great step towards creating a more environmentally aware society. However it's not always as easy to do as it should be! So by creating a directory of useful sites along with some helpful guides I hope to help anyone who wants to to live their life in a more environmentally friendly and sustainable way.
